Today, you'll set off for the village of Voskopoja, renowned throughout the country for its historic attachment to Balkan Orthodoxy. In the 18th century, Voskopoja was one of the most developed towns in Albania, the most important cultural and economic center in the Balkans. Today, this corner of Albania is known for its typical houses and numerous Orthodox churches.

The exploration begins in the village center of Voskopoja, where you and your guide will discover the village's charming streets, traditional stone houses and peaceful atmosphere. The guided tour will provide historical and cultural context for your visit and will enlighten you on the importance of Voskopoja and its role in Albanian history.
Afterwards, the day's walk will take us to the Orthodox Monastery Church "Shen Prodhomi".
The monastery is dedicated to Saint Prodhomos (or Prodomos), a venerated figure of Orthodox Christianity. The monastery's church was built between 1632 and 1634 while its painting was completed in 1659.
You'll discover traditional Byzantine and Orthodox architectural elements, with frescoes and religious artworks characteristic of the period. Behind the monastery building, you'll find a tiny church whose interior is adorned with stunning frescoes, however, photos are prohibited.
The tour ends with a stay in a "Pashuta" guesthouse, where you'll enjoy a traditional meal in which the food is organic and 100% farm-produced.
