Korca discovery Tour

Today, you'll discover the town of Korca, located in southeastern Albania, near the borders with Greece and northern Macedonia.
Korca is known for its traditional architecture, with many stone and wooden houses dating from this period. The town is also famous for its wine and beer production, as well as its annual beer and wine festivals. Korca is also an important cultural center, with numerous museums, theaters and music and dance festivals.
Discover the wares of Korca's bazaar. The bazaar has great historical, cultural and artistic value for the city. It's certainly the ideal place to buy Albanian souvenirs, furthermore, you can also enjoy a coffee in one of the many small cafés surrounding the bazaar and observe the rhythm of daily life.
With your guide, you'll visit the Korçë Clock Tower, a historic Ottoman tower dating from the 18th century and recently rebuilt. Afterwards, you'll visit the National Museum of Medieval Art and the Museum of Oriental Art "Bratko", which presents the life and work of the famous Albanian painter Vangjush Mio.
After the museums, you will be heading for the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Korçe. Discover the fate of the cathedral and hundreds of other religious structures during communism. Inside the cathedral, the walls are adorned with brightly colored paintings of various Christian figures. You'll visit a mosque in Korça, called the Mirahori Mosque. This mosque is the oldest in the country and was built in 1484.
