Dardha Village Tour

Dardha lies 20km from Korca, at an altitude of over 1,300m. Dardha takes its name from the fruit (pear) and was founded around 1600. It is a popular tourist destination for its unrivalled natural, architectural and culinary traditions.
The tour begins with a stroll along the cobbled streets of the village. Dardha is built with misty ground-floor houses covered in grey tiles. You'll discover well-preserved stone houses highlighting a proud village and lush green fields that remained largely untouched over time. Next, you'll visit the 'Uji Qelbur' spring, known for its medicinal properties. This water, often referred to as 'stinking water,' has been valued since ancient times for its curative benefits.
This spring is so named because of its strong aroma and taste due to its high sulfur content. Stinking water and other springs are known for their curative properties against anaemia, stomach, liver, kidneys and many others.
Afterwards, you'll visit the small Shën Gjergj (Saint George) church for its ancient icons.
Finally, you'll have the opportunity to savor the renowned "lakror" pie, along with unique dishes like snails, mushrooms, and cornmeal pie, all complemented by the local pear raki liqueur.
