Llogara National Park,

located in the Ceraunian Mountains along the southeastern Albanian Riviera, is one of the country’s smallest yet most diverse national parks, covering just 3.90 square miles. Adjacent to the historical Butrint National Park, Llogara offers a blend of rich forests, alpine meadows, and rugged rock faces, creating dramatic natural scenery. Known for its varied ecosystems, the park includes both deciduous and coniferous trees such as ash, black pine, and silver fir, shaped by the winds of the Mediterranean.

The park is a sanctuary for wildlife, hosting species like roe deer, European wildcat, and wolves, alongside birds such as the golden eagle and griffon vulture. Highlights include the scenic Llogara Pass, offering panoramic views at 3,369 feet elevation, and the Albanian Riviera, where visitors can explore pristine beaches against a backdrop of towering mountains.

Popular hiking trails like the Thanas Peak Trail and Caesar’s Neck-Ponace Spring Trail offer both historical insights and stunning vistas, making Llogara a favorite for both nature lovers and hikers seeking the tranquility and beauty of southeastern Albania.
