Shkodra Tour

Today we're off to the largest city in northern Albania, Shkodra also known as the city of bicycles.
One of the town's main highlight is Rozafa Castle, which stands on a rocky hill. It is considered one of the largest castles in the Balkans. In addition to the fortification system, other attractions include the Church of St. Stephen, later converted into a mosque, the captain's office, the prison, the Saranjas and the secret exits.

The view from the top of the castle is so unique and rare to find anywhere else. From there, we'll see where a lake flows into a river and how everything looks different from above.

The town is surrounded by the waters of three amazing rivers: the Kir, the Buna and the Drini which you will see from above.
After visiting the fortress, we'll take a stroll through downtown Shkodër. We'll have a chance to admire the architecture, lively squares and picturesque streets. We'll also visit St. Stephen's Orthodox Cathedral.

Afterwards, we will head to the Marubi Museum, which houses a collection of historic photographs, including 19th-century portraits. It's a fascinating dive into the history of photography in Albania.
The atmosphere will change completely when we visit Venice's art mask factory.

The mask exhibition at the Venice Art Mask Factory features the most diverse and exquisite collection
of Venetian masks. Each mask is crafted with care, passing through the hands of many 12- and 13-year-olds. You may find it hard to know which one is your favorite as they are all unique.

Following the Venice Art Mask Factory, we will be heading to Lake Shkodra. This is one of the largest lakes in the Balkans and southern Europe. This karst lake is named after the town nearby.

This one-day tour of Shkodër will introduce you to the region's history, culture, cuisine and nature.
