Theth is the most preserved natural park in all of Albania. Natural monuments such as the Shala river, the Theth waterfall and its lakes can be discovered on foot, in an authentic and wild context.

This morning, put on your hiking shoes for a departure towards the village of Valbona. You will continue through landscapes of forests and flowery meadows until you arrive at the Valbone pass peaking at an altitude of 1759 meters, offering you a spectacular view of the Theth valley. This trek follows the route of an ancient mule trail linking the tribal regions of Shala and Nikaj.

In the early morning, set off for a rather simple day's hike towards the Montenegro border to the village of Çerem. Çerem is only inhabited in the summer by shepherds. This village is accessible only by mule or hiking trails.

Today, the path you will follow will lead you to the junction of three borders: Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. At the top of the pass, at 2190 meters, you will have a view of the three countries. You will arrive at Doberdol, a small village made of scattered huts, welcoming shepherds and hikers during the warm months. For the more courageous, you can push a few kilometers to reach the glacial lakes. For others, take advantage of the horses, cows and sheep that graze around you to recharge your batteries.

This day, which is considered one of the most beautiful of the stay, will mark you with breathtaking landscapes in a rural setting. Once there, you will discover fresh products and local gastronomy.

The trek from the village of Milishevc in Kosovo to the Babinopolje Valley in Montenegro is a scenic hiking experience that offers a fascinating insight into the wild beauty of the Balkans. This morning, you will leave for a long walk from Babino Polje towards Plav. First, you will reach Hrid Lake, which will be the highest point of this hike where you can take the opportunity to cool off in the waters of the lake. Continue your journey to arrive in Plav where you can end the day relaxing by the glacial lake which bears the same name.

This morning, you will have a short morning transfer to reach the start of the hike.

For your last day of trek, you will reach Theth by taking a path crossing the “cursed” mountain range. The Albanian Alps are considered “Cursed Mountains” because of their limited and difficult access. During this hike, you will take a step back in time as you pass communist remains such as bunkers or a former border post.
