A short tour of Tropoje

Night in Tropojë with an accommodation in the local people's house.
We'll be staying with different families, each of which can accommodate a maximum of 5 people, and we'll be eating with our host family every day. Everything is provided: towels, mattresses, own bathroom, shower, etc.

Today, we'll be heading for the village of Tropojë, probably the most popular village in Albania for its historic past.
Arriving in the village of Tropojë, we'll meet our host families.
Authentic Albanian traditions have been preserved over the centuries and the region is known for keeping its original character.
Once assigned to our host families, we'll take our picnics and explore the village, eating in the pastures while exploring the attractions.

Tropoja is an ideal destination for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts, hikers and those seeking an authentic Albanian experience. The region offers a beautiful combination of unspoiled natural landscapes and local culture.

Next to the river that flows through the Sylbice valley, we'll have a breakfast with local produce and then head off towards the Gashi alpine lakes, a hidden treasure still far from Albania's visitors. We'll picnic here to enjoy the view and then descend in the afternoon to the sight of sheepfolds that arrive here in the summer months.
We then set off towards the Gashi alpine lakes, climbing to 1500 m to reach the region of these magical glacial lakes, arriving at Doberdol.

The accommodation here is a traditional house, one of the few remaining families in this village, which only lives here 6 months of the year and has no internet or cellular networks. The accommodation is organized on the ground with comfortable but shared mattresses, modern shower and toilet hot water available. There will be traditional cooking by the family and grandparents, this accommodation can be considered as home from home, the welcome is very friendly.

From the Doberdol gites, we'll be heading for one of the most protected ecosystems in all of Albania, a protected area and Unesco World Heritage Site. The Gashi valley bears unique values for its ecosystem, nature here is in the purest state that can be found in all Albania. We'll be hiking through a first-class forest, the only inhabitants are the shepherds.

Your luggage will be transferred to your accommodation in the evening.

Your departure from Çerem takes you through mountainous landscapes and dense forests. Çerem, known for its tranquil natural setting, is the ideal starting point for an adventure through the Albanian countryside. The route to Fierzë is highlighted by views of valleys, streams and small villages, offering a glimpse of rural Albanian life.
