Ohrid Lake Tour

Today, you'll head off towards Lake Ohrid. This is one of the deepest and oldest lakes in Europe. You'll have the opportunity to observe numerous species of flora and fauna. Lake Ohrid is surrounded by mountains and hills, with traditional villages and ancient archaeological sites along its shores. It's also known for its exceptional biodiversity, with over 200 endemic species of plants and animals living there, including trout, crayfish and shellfish.
You'll enjoy a visit to the charming villages of Lin and Tushemisht.
Lin lies a few kilometers south of Pogradec, on the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid. The village and its surroundings offer picturesque views of the lake and surrounding mountains. This location offers visitors the chance to explore both the village of Lin and the nearby town of Pogradec.
Pogradec lies on a narrow plain between two mountain ranges along the south-western shores of Lake Ohrid. The long lakeside promenade is well worth a visit.
Afterwards, you'll visit the village of Tushemisht, which is mainly inhabited by Orthodox Albanians. Discover the village's unique culture and see how the streams flow through the village.

Take time to appreciate the natural beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscape. Crystal-clear waters and verdant mountains form a breathtaking backdrop. There are several monasteries and churches around the lake, including the St. Naum monastery on the Macedonian side.
