Established in 1996, this park is a sanctuary for wildlife such as brown bears, wolves, and various birds, thriving among the tall pines and oaks. The park is renowned for the Kroi i Nenës Mbretëreshë (Source of the Queen Mother), a water source known for its purity and healing properties, particularly beneficial for respiratory and immune conditions. Qafë-Shtamë offers scenic hiking opportunities and connects ecologically to Dajti National Park and the Kraste-Verjon Protected Landscape. It’s also historically significant, with the Mother Queen Cascade being a highlight, once used by Albania’s royal family.
